Subsidence at Vauvert salt-mines

by rig2016 - published on , updated on

50 years old industrial site of extraction of Oligocene evaporitic salt by water injection and brine pumping. Subsidence induced by salt removal is monitored, and provides a unique site to design and test innovative methods of quantifying and analysing subsidence (KemOne, Arkema, Fugro-Geoid, GM).

Visit combined with the Maguelone experimental site (a.m.)
